Life communicates in a
Million unseen faces, and whispers in unheard voices.
We race through our days, oblivious to the vibrant ecosystems unfolding beneath our feet and towering above us. A single drop of water teems with microscopic marvels, invisible yet teeming in their millions. Tiny architects of nature scurry along hidden pathways, while intricate fungal networks weave a secret tapestry beneath the soil. Majestic trees reach for the sky, their branches alive with tapestries of colours and vibrant melodies of birdsongs.
Whether bathed in sunlight or cloaked in night, these countless worlds exist in a delicate balance. Interconnected, they maintain the very pulse of life. They endure. They flourish.
Pause. Take a breath. Look closer. In the rustle of leaves, in the flap of a wing – everywhere around you! Nature’s breathtaking choreography isn’t some distant spectacle – it’s playing right here, in your very own backyard.
Fauna
One of the important life forms that grows and make other life forms grow by facilitating breeding and regeneration. Faunal forms such as birds and mammals of being usually recognizable sizes are known as macro-fauna while others such as reptiles, amphibians, insects are known to be micro-fauna.
They are in variety of colours, sizes and sounds and are intricately associated with surrounding ecosystem. Both Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) and Finolex Residential Complex (FRC) are seen hosting good faunal diversity. Some of the interesting species are documented below.
Flora
The Ratnagiri coastal areas are adorned with swaying coconut palms and sprawling mango orchards, famed for the Alphonso and cashew varieties. Amidst this verdant landscape, Ratnagiri’s flora, with its blend of endemic, rare, and stunning species, paints a picturesque canvas of natural beauty. Blue coastlines interlace with mangroves, lateritic plateaus, and sacred groves, while forest patches nestled with native species create a rich biodiversity of Herbs, Climbers, Shrubs and Trees. These elements play a vital role in their ecosystem, supporting local fauna as they form the base of the pyramid of life.

Director’s Message
A Commitment To Environmental Sustainability
I would like to take a moment to address a matter that is of utmost importance to all of us: our environmental stewardship as an industry leader. We believe that safeguarding the environment is not just a moral imperative but a strategic necessity for the sustainable future of our planet and our businesses.
Finolex Industries is built on this very thought of building sustainable future for backbone of Indian Economy: The Farmers; through our products that are cost effective and accessible. Hence, for us Sustainability has been part of our DNA since inception of the organization.
Biodiversity is one of such important material topics for FIL and we are proud to host key habitats for diverse flora and fauna. We understand the shared ecosystem services that we use are needed to be conserved and restored. With this Ecological study, we are building on our long-term Biodiversity strategy that will not only provide a safe home for flora and fauna around us but shall give us an opportunity to enhance and restore habitats which are important for key species to create harmonious ecosystem for both industry and biodiversity.
This website is an outcome of baseline study and gives me proud feeling that the same has received active contribution from our employees who are nature enthusiasts and are flag bearers of sustainability at FIL. This website presents the beauty that language cannot capture, but our camera lens can, highlighting their importance for our existence on this earth.
We look forward and shall strive for collaborative innovations with you all to make this world a better place.
